Day 28 - Forget Resolutions, Create Permanent Solutions

 Today's task: Use leftovers. A great website is


Why: One of the easiest ways to meal plan is to cook in bulk. If you know you'll have pasta with ground beef on Monday, it's easier to brown the entire package and put what's left in the fridge. But by Thursday, you should have found a way to use that leftover meat. Food waste is a huge issue in our country, and although throwing out food may not feel like it makes a difference, it has BIG time over the last few decades and it will continue to if we don't make a change. 


To make this a permanent solution: When meal planning, and then prepping or cooking, know where every bit of what you're making is going to go. If you are someone who doesn't like to eat leftovers, only cook what you will eat or invite friends over to share in the excess.
